THE WALL – WEEK 3: RAINMEN SUPREME; LIL 1 WINS BIG; YVON NE VEUT PAS KREVER!
We’re down to the very last round folks! And this past week showed us that if you sleep, you slip… as Rainmen and Lil 1 demonstrated by dethroning the two veterans Mizery and Jay Soul from the top positions. Another big comeback story is that of veteran Yvon Krevé, whose fans not only woke up to save him, but brought within 1 “Like” of the TOP 10 Spot. We also saw the rise of the mighty MUGZ, who not only made history by being the second Canadian Emcee to debut his video on 106 & Park (BET) – The first was DRAKE by the way – He now finds himself in the position to go down in history again as part of the first elite Top 10 Montreal Hip Hop Wall of Famers at the Montreal Hip Hop Summit.
Oh…And speaking of TOP 10 Positions, we are now at the final week and believe it when we say to all you rappers out there…DO ALL YOU CAN…to get your fans to move you in the TOP 10. Now, we are sworn to secrecy about this until June 11 (so all you fans are just going to have to be there to found out live at the Montreal Hip Hop Summit). MONTREAL HIP HOP WALL OF FAME WEEK 2: RAINMEN’S REVENGE!!!
This last week leading up to our new update has been very eventful to say the least. We have 24 new entries on the Wall of Fame and some new names have already guaranteed their status on that first week, namely: Frenchi Blanco, Ibo Kinz, M.O., Stallz, Rico Blox and Feezy.
But the biggest comeback has been for legendary French group Rainmen, who went from facing illumination last week to now securing the #5 position. 2 more weeks until the final list is set in stone. So if you care about some of these groups who face illumination if they don’t get a minimum of 5 Facebook “Likes”, you know what to do…Visit the Facebook page MTL Hip Hop Wall of Fame and post their name on the wall and ask people to support.

FIRST MONTREAL HIP HOP WALL OF FAME: VOTE!!!
As part of the 1st Annual Montreal Hip Hop Summit (June 11), the entire Montreal Hip Hop community is invited to participate in the induction of the artists and groups who will be listed in the first Montreal Hip Hop Wall of Fame. The process is simple, THE PEOPLE DECIDE! Visit Facebook.com on the MTL Hip Hop Wall of Fame page and nominate the artists and groups that you believe are worthy to become an inductee. For the artist or group to qualify there must be a minimum of 5 “Likes” on Facebook. So share this page and pass the word!
There are presently 97 artists and/or groups nominated on the Wall. Between now and our next update on May 23, 60 of them will be facing elimination if they don’t receive more “Likes” and many important names are still missing on that list. If you care about Montreal Hip Hop, VOTE TODAY!!!
